Second Thursday of the month (unless otherwise noted), 7-9pm.

The fee to attend a meeting is generally £20 (occasionally £25 for  special tastings and £5 for member’s choice evening).  You need to confirm by the 1st of the month if you are attending and if you subsequently cancel, the fee is still payable as the wine for the tasting will have been purchased.

Please bring your own wine glass. You may wish to bring a couple so you can compare wines during the tasting. Also bring a pen and a copy of the advance tasting notes, water and any cheese, biscuits or other nibbles, if you wish.

There will be a £10 annual membership charge to be on the mailing list and receive the full tasting notes and access to the archive. One tasting fee of £20 is also payable in advance together with the annual charge.  This will be held to your credit and used to cover your tasting fee for the last tasting you attend in the season (or be refunded in cash, if necessary, or carried over to the next season).

All members are required to be double-vaccinated and measures, such as members bringing their own nibbles, have been introduced to avoid the need for items to be passed from hand to hand at the tasting.  A designated pourer will dispense the wines at each tasting to avoid multiple handling of bottles.  These measures have been trialled in recent tastings and agreed by the members as suitable to ensure that the society operates in a Covid-secure manner.
